Spot Welding Machine P200
This model is one of the standard devices for resistance welding in the industrial sector.
These machines are characterized by their extreme durability and are still frequently used in metal construction companies or by restorers today due to their robust electromechanics.
Performance: The P200 model had a welding capacity of approx. 50 kVA.
Function: This is a stationary spot welding machine that was used for the mass production of sheet metal structures.
Technical features
Fixation (pressure): The sheets to be joined are placed between two water-cooled copper electrodes. A mechanical or pneumatic mechanism exerts a defined force (up to approx. 250 kp for the P 200) to firmly press the parts together.
Current flow: An extremely high electric current is passed through the electrodes for a fraction of a second. The P 200 has a maximum welding capacity of 50 kVA.
Heat generation: Since the electrical resistance at the contact point between the sheets is highest, the heat is concentrated there. The metal melts locally and forms a "welding lens".
Cooling: After the current is switched off, the pressure remains briefly until the metal has solidified and formed the solid connection (the "spot").
Design: Stationary column machine with a reach of approx. 500 mm, which also allows the processing of larger sheet metal parts.
Control: The machine has adjustable settings for welding time and current strength to adapt it to different material thicknesses.
