Item details

Tektronix CT-5 High Current Transformer Oscilloscope Probe

The Tektronix CT-5 high current transformer extends the range of an A6302 probe (with AM503 amplifier) or a P6021 probe by a factor of 1000 (up to 5000 A / Div).

Displays 20 Hz - 1.2 kHz, 1000 A, <1.5" conductor diameter. Current probe

Conductor with 1.5 inch diameter
Measurements on bare conductors up to 3000 V
Suppresses DC effects with the DC bucking coil to 300 A.
Pulsed currents up to 50 kA
Plug-in high current transformer that extends the measurement capabilities of the Tektronix P6021 and A6302 plug-in probes.

Features of the CT-5 with the A6302 / AM503 OR P6021 / 134 combinations:

Rise time - 17.5 ns or less
Insertion impedance - <= 20 µ Ohm at 60 Hz; 20 m Ohm at 1 MHz.

Current range - 20 mA / div to 100 A / div with A6302 / AM503 and 20 mA / div to 20 A / div with P6021 / 134 (20:1 attenuation ratio); 1 A / Div to 5 kA / Div with 6302 / AM503, 1 A / Div to 1 kA / Div with P6921 / 134 (1000:1 attenuation ratio).

Maximum circuit test voltage - 3000 V (bare wire)

Maximum DC downward current - 300 mA to downward current of 300 A (with DC bucking coil)
