Stationary Personnel Protection System for Narrow Aisle High-Bay Warehouses

Stationary personnel protection system using light barrier technology

The stationary personnel protection system is permanently installed at each aisle entrance of your narrow aisle warehouse and prevents collisions by means of light barriers and optical signals from driving or entering occupied aisles.

In normal operation, only vehicles are allowed to drive through the aisles. Pedestrians are generally prohibited from entering. In the "Person" operating mode, however, entering the aisles is permitted and vehicles trigger an alarm. In order to prevent a vehicle or person from entering an occupied narrow aisle in the warehouse and causing a rear-end collision or similar, the stationary personnel protection system signals the status of the aisles visually and acoustically.
To switch the operating mode from "Vehicle" to "Person", a key switch on the column must be operated.

A traffic light shows the status of the aisle on two levels.

Green: Free for a vehicle
Red: Blocked for persons or vehicles

The vehicle detection consists of a 180° wide-angle infrared receiver and a 180° wide-angle infrared transmitter.
The transmitter (not included in the scope of delivery) is installed on the vehicle. The receiver is mounted on the rack head.
