Stäubli RX90B L Robot Arm

The Stäubli RX90B is a 6-axis industrial robot designed for medium payloads and high precision.
It is characterized by its compact design and closed structure, making it particularly suitable for clean room and assembly applications.

The Stäubli RX90B L is the "Long-Arm" variant of the RX90 series, which has been specially designed for applications with an enlarged work area. In combination with the CS8M control unit (a compact, modular version of the CS8 series), the system offers greater flexibility in integration into tighter control cabinets or modular systems.

Technical Data: RX90B L (Long Arm)

Compared to the standard model, the L version has an extended lower and upper arm, which increases the reach at the expense of a slightly lower precision.

Payload: 6 kg (nominal load) up to max. 9 kg
Reach: 1100 mm (standard: 900 mm)
Repeatability: ±0.025 mm (standard: ±0.02 mm)
Degrees of freedom: 6 axes
Protection class: IP65 (standard), wrist optional IP67

The Control Unit: CS8M
The "M" in CS8M stands for Modular. This control unit was developed to house the performance of the CS8 architecture in a space-saving housing.

Compactness: Significantly smaller footprint than the CS8C standard control unit, ideal for installation in machine frames.

Software: Operation with VAL3, Stäubli's proprietary programming language, which enables complex motion sequences and real-time communication.

Interfaces: Supports common fieldbus systems (e.g. DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet) for integration into higher-level PLC environments.

Highlights of the Combination

Work Area: Due to the longer arm (1100 mm), this combination is ideally suited for loading and unloading machines or for palletizing tasks in spatially limited cells.

Maintenance: The RX90B series is known for its encapsulated design with integrated cabling, making it very low-maintenance and allowing use in clean environments (optional ISO 5 clean room class).
