Smicon PT 1500 Gassing / Gassing System

In a gassing process, a room is flooded with a toxic gas to combat pests/bacteria. Since these are toxic gases, special safety measures are required. Gassing is common in the storage of organic materials (e.g. grain storage, in port warehouses, silos, mills), and also in churches to combat woodworm.

This is a device used for the disinfection of rooms. Formaldehyde is boiled on the left hotplate and, together with condensed water (right hotplate), placed in an air stream in a room and kills all bacteria there.
