Axial cylindrical roller bearings are designed to accommodate high axial loads and one-sided peak loads. They are not suitable for radial loads. Bearings are suitable for applications where neighboring components are used as raceways. This allows for low-profile axial bearings. If the neighboring components cannot be used as raceways, a complete bearing can be assembled by combining it with one or two bearing washers.
