The SICK C40E-1801AG300 is the receiver unit for the C4000 Basic Plus safety light curtain system (coupled with the C40S-1801AA300 transmitter) and offers enhanced protection for hazardous areas in industrial automation. With a protective field height of 1,800 mm and a resolution of 14 mm, it provides reliable detection up to a range of 2.5 m. This device meets the standards Type 4 (IEC 61496-1), SIL 3 (IEC 61508), Category 4 and Performance Level e (PL e) according to EN ISO 13849, thus ensuring the highest level of safety. It is designed for fail-safe operation - if a fault occurs, at least one OSSD output switches off - and offers a PFHd of 1.5 × 10??/h and a service life of 20 years, supporting long-term reliability in safety-critical processes. This receiver is designed for harsh environments and features an IP65-certified aluminum housing with a robust front screen and a compact cross-section of 48 × 40 mm for space-saving installation.
