Export boxes are a special form of transport boxes that must meet the corresponding requirements for transport abroad.

Export box according to IPPC standard

The IPPC standard (ISPM 15 in detail)
The IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention), a subsidiary organization of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), has issued phytosanitary regulations for international trade in solid wood packaging (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures - ISPM 15). Accordingly, the following requirements must be met:

Heat treatment
Wood packaging material must be heated to a core temperature of 56°C for a period of at least 30 minutes according to a special time-temperature plan.
The treatment may only be carried out by an approved and registered company.

Marking
The wood packaging must be marked accordingly.
The marking must contain the following:
The IPPC symbol (grain ear)
The 2-digit ISO country code (DE for Germany), the responsible national authority (e.g. NW 2 for the Chamber of Agriculture Münster) and a unique number that ensures clear identification of the treating company (441 = our number).
IPPC abbreviation for the treatment method (HT for Heat Treatment).

Markings must be
Clearly legible
Permanent and non-transferable
Visibly attached, on at least 2 opposite sides of the item to be certified.

Debarking
The wood must be debarked.
