Perkin Elmer Chemagic 360-D Nucleic Acid Extraction System
The Perkin Elmer Chemagic 360-D is an automated benchtop system for the isolation of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) from a wide variety of sample materials.
It uses Chemagen's magnetic bead technology to obtain highly pure nucleic acids for various downstream applications.
Key Features and Specifications
Technology: The system is based on the patented Chemagen M-PVA magnetic bead technology. Metal rods are magnetized to collect the beads with the bound nucleic acids and transfer them between different process solutions, minimizing cross-contamination.
Sample Volume Flexibility: It offers various "Rod Heads" (magnetic rod heads) for different volume ranges and throughputs:
12-Rod Head: For sample volumes from 1 ml to 10 ml.
24-Rod Head: For sample volumes from 200 µl to 4 ml.
96-Rod Head: For sample volumes from 10 µl to 400 µl.
Applications: The isolated nucleic acids are suitable for a wide range of applications, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), genotyping, PCR and MLPA.
Software: The intuitive Chemagic software enables easy setup of protocols, tracking of process status (runtime, remaining time) and generation of LIMS-compatible log files for quality assurance.
Accessories: An optional Chemagic Dispenser 360 is available to pre-fill reagents quickly and accurately, reducing manual working time.
Dimensions: The device measures 800 x 800 x 900 mm (L/W/H).
Certification: The 360-D version is a CE-IVD registered and FDA-listed instrument intended for in vitro diagnostics (in combination with the corresponding kits).
