for the production of glass knives for ultra-thin sections.

Glass knives for ultramicrotomy are made from plate glass, which is supplied in selected strips, preferably 25 or 38 mm wide.

After cleaning, the strips are scored crosswise in the KnifeMaker and broken into a number of squares or diamonds as required.
The glass pieces are secured in the Knifemaker, scored diagonally and broken into two pieces, one of which has a straight and sharp cutting edge of high quality, provided that the recommended glass quality is used and the instructions are followed precisely.
