Leuze Electronic MA204i 50112893 Profibus Gateway Modular Connection Unit

The Profibus Gateway MA 204i is a robust, modular connection unit that has been developed to directly connect various Leuze devices via RS-232 (V.24) to a PROFIBUS-DP network. It supports a wide range of sensor and data acquisition hardware, such as barcode readers (BCL series), handheld scanners, RFID readers and positioning systems, by converting RS-232 data into PROFIBUS-DP format. Configuration is simplified via a rotary code switch that selects the device type. It is compact and robust, features M12 connectors for devices and bus wiring, achieves IP65 protection, operates with 18-30 V DC and has LEDs for status indication. Ideal for industrial automation where network integration of serial field devices is required.
