The olive tree 'Lechin' with the Latin name Olea europaea 'Lechin' is also called Olea europaea 'Lessini' in German usage. This olive tree rarely becomes ill or is affected by mold. As a result, the 'Olea europaea' requires little attention even in winter and a special frost protection cover is only necessary in exceptional cases. The 'Lessini' is therefore also the most winter-hardy among the olive trees and is well suited to our local climate. The olive tree 'Lechin' thrives well in dry soil, grows slowly and can reach a height of several meters after a few decades.
