Heidenhain 384005-01 SPECTO ST 1287 Incremental Length Measuring Device with Clamping Screws

The ST 1287 is a compact incremental length measuring device developed for precision distance measurement with a measuring range of 12 mm. It has a ball-bush guide and features a pneumatic plunger actuation that requires compressed air to position the plunger, which is retracted by a spring in the rest position. This arrangement reduces mechanical noise and ensures a uniform contact pressure. Equipped with a 12-pin M23 connector and a 1.50 m long cable, it provides a sinusoidal voltage output (1 Vss) that allows high-resolution interpolation over a grid period of 20 ?m. A clearly defined reference mark at 5 mm increases the position accuracy. The IP64-certified housing protects the device from dust and splash water and is suitable for moderate industrial environments. The power supply is 5 V ±10%, and the stainless steel ball-bush guide ensures long-term operation with an accuracy of 1.0 ?m, ideal for precision measurement applications.
