TOX Process Monitoring CEP 300 2-Channel
The devices of the CEP300 series are measuring systems for process monitoring of the TOX® sheet metal joining process.
In process monitoring, the maximum force during a TOX® joining operation is compared with the setpoints set in the device. A good/bad message is output both on the internal display and via the external interfaces provided for this purpose.
Measuring principle: Force-position monitoring
The force is recorded via a strain gauge force sensor behind the die or punch (monitoring of the peak value).
The position is detected using a precision limit switch +/-0.01mm, from the position measurement the X-dimension can be determined.
For quality inspection, both parameters - force (= peak value of the TOX® joining operation) and X-dimension (residual bottom thickness) - are required.
