The new interface can be used as a passive system (formerly known as Type 2) or as an active system (formerly known as Type 2a, Hotline). By default, this interface allows both applications. If the interface is only used as a passive system, it is sufficient to connect the door frame separately to the doorbell installation . When using the interface as an active system (Hotline), it is also possible to call back to the door frame.
