Depending on the area of application, different mains-side measures are necessary for servo systems to reduce the mains current and for RFI suppression. These measures are generally not mandatory, but they ensure the universal use of a servo system.
RFI filters and mains filters are used to comply with the interference voltage categories according to the European standard EN 61800-3. There is a distinction between category C1 and category C2.

Category C1 describes the use in public networks. Category C2 describes the use of devices intended for industrial use and used in environments that also include residential areas.
With the Lenze mains filters type ECSZZ, you meet the requirements of category C1.
The RFI filters are designed for the assigned ECS power supply module and up to 10 axis modules with a motor cable length of 25m each (Lenze system cable). For longer motor cable lengths, please contact the responsible Lenze sales office.
