The EA-PS 824-040 KSM from EA Elektro-Automatik is a compact, robust and resilient 100 W DC power supply for DIN rail mounting, providing a reliable 2428 V voltage at up to 4.2 A output current. It features a slim plastic housing with IP20 protection (dimensions: only 90 × 91 × 57 mm, weight: approx. 0.37 kg) and fits easily on standard DIN TS35 rails, making it the ideal solution for industrial, automation and control cabinet installations. The universally compatible device accepts a wide input range: AC 90 264 V or DC 120 370 V, at 4763 Hz. It features natural convection cooling, eliminating the need for fans and minimizing maintenance. In terms of performance, the power supply ensures precise regulation (= 320 mV load variation) and low ripple (= 90 mVpp) at an efficiency of over 83% at 230 V AC. The device offers a hold-up time of approx. 100 ms at rated input power, making it resilient to short interruptions. Protection mechanisms include electronic current limiting (10 150%), overvoltage shutdown (120 140% of the rated value) and thermal shutdown. Status is indicated by a red/green LED for DC low/warning conditions. This model complies with safety and EMC standards such as EN 61204 and EN 60950-1, and is suitable for demanding environments.
