The Cognex In-Sight 828-0220-1R (E-Series IS5100-11) is a rugged industrial camera for high-precision inspection, measurement, and identification tasks. It is based on the proven In-Sight 5000 series platform and combines a 1/3" CCD image sensor with VGA resolution (640 x 480) and captures up to 60 frames per second in 8-bit grayscale. With PatMax pattern matching and the comprehensive suite of In-Sight Vision Tools, this standalone system delivers reliable performance even in demanding production environments.

The IS5100-11 is housed in a die-cast aluminum enclosure with sealed M12 connectors and IP67 protection. It is extremely robust and suitable for use in industrial wet areas. Thanks to the IP rating, compact design (approx. 350 g with lens cover), and minimal I/O footprint (1 trigger input, 2 high-speed outputs), it is ideally suited for confined installations. It features 32 MB of integrated flash memory and 64 MB of SDRAM, and offers virtually unlimited storage via networked devices. The system is designed for seamless integration and supports Ethernet as well as optional RS-232C I/O modules. Setup is quick via the In-Sight Explorer EasyBuilder and spreadsheet interface.
