Bio-Rad Rotofor for the separation of proteins in solution using preparative IEF

The preparative isoelectric focusing cell by Bio-Rad, type Rotofor, is designed for protein purification by using liquid-phase isoelectric focusing (IEF) to separate proteins into 20 fractions in free solution.
Furthermore, the Bio-Rad Rotofor Prep IEF cell processes protein quantities from micrograms to grams.
The Bio-Rad Rotofor is ideally suited for the isolation of uncharacterized proteins from crude or partially purified samples.
Selected fractions from an initial run can be collected, pooled, and re-fractionated, enabling up to 1000-fold purification.
