The EDM series distance meters were developed and manufactured in compliance with applicable European standards and directives.
These devices are used for the precise positioning of stacker cranes, transfer cars, cranes and handling automation, as well as length measurements in the wood processing industry, on concrete saws and in elevator construction.
Distance meters are used wherever distances have previously been determined using angle encoders or electromechanical measuring devices. Optoelectronic distance meters (EDM, electronic distance meter) operate with virtually no wear and tear and are easier to install using an integrated laser pointer.
