The Ascolite® machines wind and secure the sewing threads between the button and the fabric, thereby forming an insoluble "neck", called the "button shank".

The Ascolite Mark 11 fully automatic button shank winding machine, which is used for the permanent securing of buttons on garments such as jackets, coats and shirts.
It uses a special elastic thermofusion yarn (Ascolite TF yarn) that winds around the shank and then melts through heat to prevent the buttons from coming loose for life.

The machine is designed for medium to large production volumes and is characterized by high speed and material efficiency.
